April 19th 2010 North West London Hospitals are launching a new component of their 'paper-lite' clinical solutions for doctors, a timeline showing clinical correspondence, MDT's, Results, scanned referral letters, and hospital visits. NWLH are at the forefront of the drive to reduce as much as possible the reliance of clinicians on paper notes, and to ensure that information from different hospital systems is available to users on demand. The timeline shows retrieves summary data from the relevant hospital system for the category of data being shown, and displays a graphical view indicating the activity for the patient. The user can then click one of the nodes in the graph to display the data or click either a row heading or a column heading to display additional activity. The system shows a list of all events for the selected criteria and the use can then click a checkbox to display the full record. Clinical Correspondence data is retrieved from Teleologic's PCS Discharge Notification and Outpatient letters systems, and MDT reports are derived from Teleologic's systems for Multi Disciplinary Teams and Cancer Waiting Times reporting. Results and Scanned Letters are retrieved from third party systems and Hospital Visits are retrieved from a database maintained by the Teleologic ADT (Admit Discharge Transfer) interface. To find out more about how PCS can help your hospital go 'paper-lite', please call Teleologic on 01603 765737, or email info@teleologic.co.uk or contact us online. |
